Trainer Pipe Fitter (Brough)

SALARY: £28,000+

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Trainee Pipefitter, you'll help install high-end, custom garage equipment in premium automotive workshops — working with world-class brands like Lamborghini, Porsche, Aston Martin, BMW, and Jaguar Land Rover.

You’ll be trained to install systems that deliver air, oil, and water to each technician’s work bay, including:

  • Air compressors and associated pipework
  • Oil tanks and oil distribution systems
  • Ducting and exhaust extraction systems
  • Mains water connections
  • Workshop plumbing and pipefitting

Working in a two-person team alongside a Lead Engineer, you'll receive structured training both on-site and off-site to help you gain the skills and experience needed to progress. Most Junior Pipefitters move into Lead Engineer roles within 2–3 years.

Important: This role requires staying away from home 3 nights per week, every week, as you'll be working at client sites across the UK.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone practical, reliable, and keen to grow within a technical or engineering-based trade. An interest in vehicles or the automotive sector is a definite advantage.

Nice to Have Experience

  • Plumbing or pipefitting (socket, screwed, and press fittings)
  • Ductwork or exhaust extraction system installation

Ground Worker (Brough)

SALARY: £30,000-£32,000+

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Ground Worker, you’ll play a vital role in preparing and executing groundworks for the installation of garage equipment, including vehicle lifts and MOT bays. You’ll ensure that all groundwork is completed to the highest standard, adhering to health and safety guidelines and meeting project deadlines.

In this role you will work with a Lead Engineer, and alongside our mechanical and electrical Engineers. You will be supported by one of our own Project Managers. An independent work ethic and communication skills are important.

The main responsibilities will be undertaking and managing the civil works and grounds works for projects in franchise vehicle dealer workshops. This will include carrying out the installation of new recesses (including cutting, excavation, formwork/permanent shuttering, concrete pouring), plus remedial work to tile or resin floor finishes. All of our teams are directed by competent project managers who have civil and grounds works experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Excavation and Site Preparation: Carry out digging, levelling, and preparation of sites for equipment installation.
  • Concrete Work: Lay and finish concrete bases for vehicle lifts, ramps, and other equipment.
  • Drainage and Cabling: Assist with the installation of drainage systems and routing of cables for equipment functionality.
  • Equipment Installation Assistance: Work alongside installation engineers to ensure seamless integration of equipment into prepared sites.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including correct use of PPE and adherence to company and site-specific safety regulations.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the wider Ground Works and Installation teams to deliver projects on time and within scope.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any groundwork issues that may arise during installation.

Installation Engineer (Brough)

SALARY: £28,000+

ABOUT THE ROLE

Engineers learn how to fit and install our range of bespoke, high quality garage equipment including vehicle lifts, MOT lanes, tyre equipment and cabinets.

Engineers work in a team with a Lead Engineer and are trained on and offsite in order to develop skills in the mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic disciplines.

If you have an aptitude for mechanical, hands-on work and a hard-working approach you can expect to become a Lead Engineer within 2 years. It helps if you have an interest in all things car-related.

NOTE THAT THIS ROLE INVARIABLY INVOLVES BEING AWAY FROM HOME 3 NIGHTS PER WEEK, EVERY WEEK at various client sites throughout the UK.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Mechanical, hydraulic or electrical experience in industry OR military experience in an engineering-related discipline
  • Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
  • IT Literate.
